London Christening at St John's Chuch, Notting Hill

A few weeks ago, I photographed little Clara's christening at St John's Church in Notting Hill. The family are good friends of ours, so it was wonderful to be asked to be involved in her big day. I covered the christening in exactly the same way as I do for weddings - using the photography to tell the story of the day.As you can see from the images, Clara looked adorable in her christening gown. She behaved beautifully for the whole service, smiling away as she passed from one doting relation to the next. When it came to her big moment, she was absolutely fascinated with what the vicar was doing - making for fantastic photos!At the end of the service, the family was presented with a candle. Clara loved it, and stared at it for the next few minutes giving me a chance to capture my favourite image of the day.After the service, we all went back to their house for lunch. This gave me more opportunities to blend into the background and capture the more relaxed part of the day along with some pictures of Sarah, Kit and Clara in the garden. It was wonderful to be involved in such a happy day - congratulations Clara!
