Documentary Wedding Photogrpaher, Wales
This year has gone by in a flash packed with beautiful weddings. The only casualty has been my poor blog which has been somewhat neglected. I will be putting that right in the next few months with lots of lovely photography from lots of lovely weddings.I thought I'd start with one of my favourites from this year - Emily and Tom's amazing rural wedding set in the heart of the stunning countryside of Wales. With deep blue skies overhead and not a cloud to be seen, I arrived at Cwm Cottages a stone's throw from the coast. The place was a hive of activity as the Emily and her bridesmaids got ready with a glass champagne in hand. From there, I travelled to the venue - an idyllic stone hall with gorgeous grounds and a huge open ended marquee full of homemade touches. Guests gathered outside the barn for welcome drinks as Tom and his ushers finished the last minute preparations. Then everyone gathered in the hall as Emily and her father led a procession down the drive. A special ceremony followed led by both of their fathers complete with speeches, vows and a song sung by Tom's sister. After that, it was outside to shower the couple with confetti followed by drinks and a chance to soak up the last of the summer sun.The call to dinner was followed by some very funny speeches. Taking photographs whilst laughing can be somewhat challenging ...The evening unfolded with a hog roast, much celebrating, a song sung by Tom (his first ever public performance!), a blazing campfire and much dancing.I left the party in full swing, the sound of the wedding band trailing into the night. KIND WORDS FROM EMILY & TOM: "We absolutely love the photos, I can't stop looking at them. I feel you really captured how happy everyone was on the day. Couldn't have asked for any more! Love them! I really feel they tell the story of our day, and even better i feel like its through my own eyes."
